A taste of The Yoga Farm

TO KNOW about the space:

The Yoga Farm is a 100% off-grid permaculture farm + community.

This place is SO, SO SPECIAL. And it’s not for everyone! If you’re looking for a 5-star luxurious resort, this is not it.

Here at the farm we practice principals of sustainability - which means we practice mindfulness in these different areas:

• Everything is solar-powered so we practice mindfulness with charging and energy expenditure.

• There is limited Wifi for your offline experience. There is internet only from the hours of 3:00PM - 6:30 PM

• We practice silence in the mornings to enjoy the jungle sounds and the aspects of stillness

• There is a community of volunteers living at the property - so we respect them joining our yoga sessions in the mornings and their presence at all of our meals. (You will leave with so many great friends! The Yoga Farm always has the most incredible group of people staying / volunteering here).

• There are compost toilets (honestly they’re not bad at all).

• No hot water! (But believe me, you won’t miss it. It will be warm here and you’ll enjoy fresh showers!)

• The property is big! Depending on which accommodation you choose, you might have a small jungle walk to get to your cabina. (If you stay at the main house, this is the big benefit — less walking!)

• The meals are mostly vegetarian, with farm-to-table eggs, sometimes chicken (locally grown), and occasional fish should someone have luck in the ocean!

• There is lot’s of natural wildlife on the property to be aware of! Monkeys will wake you up in the mornings, every jungle bird you can think of to be spotted in the nearby trees, and sloths will hang from the branches.

• Most people who find this hidden gem continue to come back year after year — including myself. (There’s a reason for this) — this place is seriously SO special, and if you come, we ask you to respect + honor the land and the sustainable practices.
